Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data the Day off Picker mobile app and the dayoffpicker.com website process and how. It is written to meet the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, for users in the EU, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who is responsible

TubiWay (Tuğberk Benli), an individual developer, is the data controller. Contact: support@dayoffpicker.com

2. Using the app without an account

You can use the app as a guest. Your saved plans, language and date format settings and reminders then stay on your phone only. For "Find best dates" searches the app sends the server your country, the number of free days and a random ID the app creates. That ID does not contain your name, phone number or advertising ID.

3. Data we process

• Account details: email address, optional username, display name (when you sign in with Google or Apple), your password (stored in protected form) and your Google or Apple account ID.
• Plans: the name, country, year and days of the plans you save.
• Preferences: default country.
• Search records: country, number of free days, the random app ID and the results; linked to your account if you are signed in.
• Technical logs: the server briefly logs IP address, time and requested address for security and debugging.

We do not collect location, contacts, photos, advertising IDs or payment details. We use no ads and no analytics or tracking tools, and we do not sell your data.

4. Why we use it (legal bases)

• To create your account, sign you in and keep your plans across phones (performance of a contract, KVKK art. 5/2-c, GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
• To send account confirmation and password reset emails (performance of a contract).
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix errors (legitimate interests, KVKK art. 5/2-f, GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
• To meet legal obligations (KVKK art. 5/2-ç, GDPR art. 6(1)(c)).

5. Service providers and international transfers

We share data only with providers needed to run the service:

• Hosting provider: server and database.
• Email delivery provider: confirmation and password reset emails.
• Google and Apple: sign-in, if you choose those options.

Their servers may be outside the country where you live. Transfers rely on the safeguards provided by KVKK art. 9 and the GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep it

Account details, plans and search records linked to your account are kept until you delete your account, and are then permanently deleted right away. Search records not linked to an account cannot identify you and are kept to improve the service. Technical logs are kept briefly by our hosting provider. Reminders live only on your phone and are removed when you uninstall the app.

7. Deleting your account

In the app, tap the profile icon, then Delete account, or use dayoffpicker.com/account/delete.

8. Your rights

Under KVKK art. 11 and the GDPR you can ask whether we process your data, get a copy, have it corrected or deleted, object to processing, receive it in a portable format and claim compensation for damage. Email support@dayoffpicker.com; we reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority or the data protection authority in your EU country.

9. Children

Day off Picker is made for working people and is not directed at children under 13. If you are under 13, please don't create an account; you can still use the app as a guest. If you learn that a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

When we update this policy we change the date at the top of this page.
